A Word from the Dean
Welcome to our web site. I trust you will find the information your require and that the information will prove helpful. I have endeavoured
to see that the information on our web site is correct and that it gives an accurate picture of who we are and what we seek to do.
DTC is a small residential theological school and has no more than twenty students at any one time with a student-teacher ratio of six or
less. Class sizes are small as are our classrooms – the capacity of our three classrooms being eight, ten and fifteen. DTC normally has three or four full-time faculty supported by visiting faculty who are
committed to providing theological training for Asian graduates seeking to be better equipped and trained to serve the Lord Jesus in Asia.
DTC is a small cross-cultural community with students and staff coming from as many as ten or more countries in any one year. Living and
learning together in such a cross-cultural community means that many important lessons are learned outside the classroom as well as in. In recent years more and more students have come to DTC as part of their
preparation and training for cross-cultural ministry.
Singapore, where DTC is located, is a multicultural, multilingual and multi-religious society conducive for training people to serve in
Asia.
DTC began classes in September 1968 and has continued without break till the present. We enjoy good fraternal relationships with Churches
and other established theological schools in Singapore and we are listed in A Guide to Churches and Christian Organisations in Singapore, published by the National Council of Churches of Singapore. DTC is interdenominational and our theological stance is conservative evangelical.
While DTC is not accredited due mainly to our smallness, a number of DTC alumni have gone on to do further studies right up to doctoral
level at well recognised Universities and Seminaries.
